Dieses wunderschöne Buch entführt uns auf eine Traumreise in eine Region Thailands, die erstaunlicherweise noch nicht so überlaufen zu sein scheint, wie sonst so viele sehenswerte Orte auf dieser Welt. Auf der Suche nach einem Reiseziel, das neben verzaubernder Natur und abwechslungsreichen Orten einen authentischen Charakter des Landes, seiner Menchen und ihrer Kutur vermittelt, bin ich zu diesem Buch gekommen. Die unzähligen Bilder und Videos haben mich sofort in ihren Bann gezogen und gefesselt.
Unzählige Fotos erzählen von den Juwelen der Region, seiner Architektur, seiner Landschaft und seiner Geschichte. Ich staune, mit welcher Akribie das Auge der Fotografen so viele Eindrücke eingefangen hat. Dabei ist jedes zweite Foto wert ein Poster zu sein. Die angenehm kurzen Texte fassen das Wichtigste zusammen, und so hat man mit diesem Buch einen großartigen Reiseführer.
Schöner kann man diese eindrucksvolle und reiche Kultur nicht präsentieren. Jeder der in dieses Buch eintaucht, wird die Lust verspüren, es mit eigenen Augen erleben zu wollen.

If you're traveling in Thailand or are planning to visit the Land of Smiles in the future, this guide will be indispensable. I've lived in Thailand for fifteen years and have traveled around quite a bit in that time but this guide has shown me many places I've missed and has motivated me to visit them again but this time with my eyes open to new discoveries.
It's stuffed with stunning photography, well-written descriptions, and up-to-date information about the places you'll want to visit. And a big plus are the clickable Google Maps (I'm a map junkie) included in the text that will be help you navigate to the Thai treasures included in the book.
This is an excellent travel guide and a truly superlative photographic study of the land I've adopted as my home. Highly recommended.

The Northeast or Isan region has different traditions and cultures in each tribe. There are beautiful temples, mountains, delicious food, and it is adjacent to Laos.

Vorweg: Wir sind absolut keine "Asienkenner", waren bis jetzt noch nicht auf diesem Kontinent.
Vielleicht oder gerade deswegen haben uns diese IIlustrationen, Beschreibungen, Reisetipps etc. äußerst beeindruckt. Authentischer geht es eigentlich nicht. Bei jeder der über 300 Seiten bekommt man das Gefühl, mittendrin zu sein in diesem Teil Thailands.
Gut möglich, dass wir das noch "live" sehen und erleben wollen. Nach dieser Lektüre haben wir auf jeden Fall Lust bekommen.

For the last 20 years I have been a Thailand lover and since 2014 I stay and live there for at least 4 months each year. Mostly in my favorite city Chiang Mai and on different islands ... left aside Bangkok! ❤️
After reading the book I have a new destination on my bucket list and I can´t wait to get there: Isaan!
The authors made me an instant Isaan adict just by reading their beautiful book! If you are only a little bit into Thailand you have to get it ... and be prepared to change your travel plans for your next stay!

Love it! I have read a lot of guide books about Thailand, but never one so detailed about these areas. There are tons of places I have never heard of that look gorgeous! Tolle Bilder, professionelle Erklärungen - macht Lust darauf, Thailand zu entdecken - aber sicher auch für Thailand-Fans eine perfekte Lektüre . Die Beschreibungen: besser als jeder Reiseführer. Die Bilder sind authentisch und offensichtlich mit viel Liebe zum Detail und zum Land zusammengestellt. Schade, dass es keine deutsche Version gibt. Auf jeden Fall eine beachtliche Leistung.

This guide to Northern Thailand is simply awesome! The photos are absolutely stunning.
The layout is clear and easy to navigate, making it a pleasure to browse through. What really sets this guide apart, though, is its interactivity: the maps are linked to Google Maps, which makes planning and orientation super convenient.
We’ll definitely be using this e-book to plan our next trip to Thailand.
